| My wish was granted when I was offered a little flat in a country town, though I soon discovered that the practicalities of country living, whilst having to depend on public transport, were, to put it mildly, a bit of a nightmare! However, I cannot really grumble, because I was at least given the chance to experience all that country life entails and for that, I am truly grateful! Much as I like to travel, I just found that the journey from city to country, or vice-versa, too tiring when I was making longer journeys to visit my family. I felt it would be better for me not to have that added stress, so started looking at ways to find my way back to city living! The opportunity came at a point where I had felt in a little despair about my chances, as I'd been told by one housing provider that my chances were 'poor'. I wasn't that hopeful when I saw my possible chance from another source, but 'went for it' anyway, thinking, "If I don't try...etc." Within a week, I'd moved into my new flat in the city! Of course, as you may have seen from some of my postings on the Forum, I'd pre-arranged travel booked to visit my family the day after my move, so haven't had the chance to do anything yet, apart from put temporary curtains up. Maybe just as well I am having the chance of a little rest first, as my arms (and everything else), were aching from all the heaving and carrying furniture, etc., so hopefully, I will find renewed energy to make headway with the cleaning and decorating when I return after Easter, which I am looking forward to! I have taken lots of photos and recorded a few video clips with lovely sounds of birdsong and one day, hope to compile them all somehow, into a journal to recall my few short months of country living! I'm closing this Blog now, as I hope to start a new one about "Before and After" - "The Transformation!"! I hope to upload photos to my Gallery throughout my new Blog to show the progress!? -Not sure how ending this Blog works!
Bye for now! - AppleBlossom
