Hello and welcome to the AboutMyGeneration March newsletter

Again a special welcome to the record number of new Members who joined during February.

Lots of new things happening on the site this month.

Chris Hurley, the AMG Editor, has been along to the 2008 Romantic Novel of the Year Awards lunch at the Royal Garden Hotel and discovered that Helen Lederer who chaired this year's panel of judges, has her own literary ambitions. Click here... to read more.

Millions of British workers are still dreaming about what they want to do ‘when they grow up’….and they’re aged over 50. A staggering 46% of 50-pluses in the UK say they are not too old to start a new career or fulfil lifetime job goals, according to new research by learndirect Careers Advice. The spring cleaning season is upon us and it seems that the nation is revved up and ready to get dusting. A new study out today from OxiClean reveals that 1 in 4 people devote, on average, at least 3 hours per week to cleaning their homes. That’s 11,000 hours of cleaning over a lifetime or put another way, a year and a quarter of our lives is spent scrubbing, hoovering and dusting! More time than we spend having sex which is reported to amount to only 6 months in a lifetime. To satisfy this national lust for cleaning and to coincide with National Spring Cleaning Week, we will be featuring some time-saving products and offering you giveways to try. So tune in early next week when more details will be published on the Site Map screen.

For those who want to socialise don't forget that there usually people in the Chat Room between 7-9 every evening and members who regularly talk on the forums say that more contributions would be very welcome.
