AboutMyGeneration
Hello and welcome to the AboutMyGeneration July newsletter

Also a special welcome to the many new members who joined during June, it is great to have you all on board

Many people when joining a new website don't know what to do or where to go. AMG offers a full range of features and facilities for every member. So to help you get the best out of your visits to the site we have prepared 10 suggested things that you can do. You can scroll down to see them.

Those of you who would like to meet new people may be interested to know that research has shown that you are 10 times more likely to be contacted by other Members if you have a fully completed Profile and a photo. It’s quick and easy to put a polish on your Profile, so why not increase your chances of connecting with others on the site? If you need some help on this see below for more guidance.

We have noticed that a lot of people are going into the Members' Chat Room but missing each other. As a suggestion, for those who want to chat, why not all try and tune in at 9:00pm every night. If everyone knows that 9:00pm is a get together time then there is more chance of you all connecting.

Again a lot of new articles and information on the site this month including some really practical advice on first dates, conversation and attraction.   Four great competitions to enter including electronic Sudoku and an IQ DVD, both designed to keep your mind alert.

And finally, the site is designed for you, the members, and your contributions and ideas are most welcome.  If you have any suggestions that you think would make the site better then please mail me peter@aboutmygeneration.com

Kind regards and happy surfing

  10. Enter important dates in 'Events' on your Home Page (see Special Events Reminders in Help and FAQs) and you will never forget another Birthday

Your Profile

Get the most out of your Profile

Many of you will have registered by only filling in the mandatory fields.  But for those of you wanting to make friends on the site why not complete your Profile. Here are three easy steps that will make it 10 times more likely that someone will contact you. You can see which parts of your profile are missing in the Welcome box at the top of the first page displayed when you login.

Step 1. Upload your Profle Picture, it's quick and simple. Go to My Home Page and click on 'How to upload your profile picture' then follow the instructions.

Step 2. Go to My Home Page and click on 'Edit Profile'. This gives you access to all your profile data. Check the Friends or Relationship boxes, fill in your Town/City and the 'About Me' box. Don't forget to click on 'Update' at the bottom of the screen when you have finished.

Step 3. Now that you have got your Profile in shape you can send messages to other members, it's secure and discrete.
