Ideal for people who are increasingly enjoying making cocktails at home

To take full advantage of this movement, The House of Hine has released the H by Hine, Hine Ball gift pack. Launched in time for Christmas it is the ideal present for the budding mixologist in your family.

The new set has a premium, artisan feel and includes a bottle of H by Hine VSOP and two premium embossed glasses. Its aim is to encourage cocktail enthusiasts to start experimenting mixing drinks with Cognac and especially learning to make a highball serve.

H by Hine VSOP is a unique expression created with cocktails in mind. The brainchild of Hine’s cellar master Eric Forget, it was developed in collaboration with bartenders from London and New York.

Made from a blend of a dozen eaux-de-vie, it showcases vibrant notes of white flower, jasmine, apricot and yellow fruits – this floral and fruit-driven style is iconic of the French Cognac house.

“Make your highball a Hine Ball”

Traditionally, a highball refers to a spirit combined with sparkling mixer over ice. A firm favourite in Japan after a long day’s work, highballs are now something of a cocktail bar staple.

The Hine Ball is a take on the highball serve and is made of 50cl of H by Hine on the rocks, topped with ginger ale. If you’re feeling adventurous you can also add an orange peel and a thin slice of fresh ginger and the serve is ready to be enjoyed.

Founded in 1763 in Jarnac by Englishman Thomas Hine, the House of Hine has since established itself as one of the most acclaimed independent and family-owned Cognac brand renowned for its elegant style and traditional yet innovative spirits.

H BY Hine, Hine Ball gift pack is available at Harvey Nichols and The Whisky Exchange – RRP £39.
