Launch of first regular steam services from London Waterloo

Tuesday, 9th April saw the launch of two new summer steam rail services from London Waterloo

The Royal Windsor Steam Express will leave Waterloo at 08.02, 11.10 and 14.10 every Tuesday from 4th June to 3rd September this year, pulled by Mayflower, an original British Rail engine built in 1948. This is the first time in history a regular steam service has operated between Waterloo and Royal Windsor. There will be four classes of travel with tickets from £35pp, including Pullman Style Dining Carriages offering a champagne brunch at £85pp inclusive.

The Sunset Steam Express will leave Waterloo at 18.00 every Tuesday from 4th June to 3rd September this year for a four-hour round trip through the beautiful Surrey Hills – an Area Of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), serving drinks and dinner on the way. Tickets start from £49pp, including Pullman Style Dining including a three course dinner at £129pp.
