Make the winning Cocktails in the City recipes at home – courtesy of Rock and Rose and Whitley Neill

The Cocktails in the City festival earlier this month proved to be a sparkling success for Richmond’s Rock and Rose and the two cocktails created with Whitley Neill by its bar manager, Adam Bozsoki

With 25 bars taking part, it was a huge accolade for Rock and Rose to win ‘Best Cocktail’ ‘Best Bar’, and ‘Best Cocktail Experience’ as voted for by some 2,500 guests at the festival.

Now you can enjoy the two winning cocktails from the comfort of your own home, using the recipes below.

Royal Summer Fizz

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Whitley Neill Quince gin
  • 25 ml freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 20 ml of elderflower cordial
  • 80 ml of French Bubbles
  • 5 ml Whitley Neill Rhubarb & Ginger gin perfumed marshmallows

Method:

  1. Marinate Whitley Neill Quince gin with fresh mint day the day before
  2. The picture shows the cocktail in a special edition baby bottle, but you can serve it in a large highball glass with lots of ice.
  3. Add all the ingredients into a high ball glass apart from the bubbles and let it rest in the fridge for a few hours so the mint releases its beautiful flavours
  4. Top up with the bubbles
  5. Garnish with sweet mint and toasted marshmallows on a cocktail stick that have been perfumed with Whitley Neill Rhubarb and Ginger gin.
