Stock your store cupboard the Scandi way!

ScandiKitchen is your one stop shop for all things Scandinavian and delicious

Originally founded in 2007 after owners, Bronte and Jonas, couldn’t find the flavours of home in the UK. ScandiKitchen has since been supplying homesick Scandis for over 11 years. Now, in 2018, Brits are starting to catch on to the perks of a Scandinavian store cupboard.

Whether you pop in for a quick and tasty lunch of open-faced sandwiches, or need to impress your foodie friends with a Scandi menu that goes way beyond those meatballs, ScandiKitchen’s range of groceries, house salads, sandwiches and collection of cookbooks can make a #SecretScandi out of you!

Leading the way are Great Taste Award winning Leksands crispbreads. Available on Ocado and in classic Rye, Baked Brown, Multigrain or Sourdough, these Swedish classics are the ideal centrepiece to get a crowd talking. Made from just four all-natural ingredients, their two sizes (large circles or wedges) both bring a Scandi twist to breaking bread – try topping with Kalles Kaviar or award winning Västerbottenost cheese.

A must on any smorgasbord, this creamy beetroot salad is homemade by ScandiKitchen. Delicate cubes of zippy beetroot and sharp apple make the perfect match for sausages, or piled high on sandwiches it’s unbeatable!

Convert any anchovy avoiders by introducing them to these Ansjovis. Think they’re regular anchovies? Think again! These small sprats are much milder in taste and traditionally used in ‘Jansson’s Temptaion’ – a potato gratin that is reserved for big occasions like Easter and Christmas. They’ll be anchovy advocates in no time!

Need the ultimate convenience for your next dinner party? Pull out a pack of Finnish Hartwall Original Gin tins! A refreshingly long drink made with gin and grapefruit, they’re best enjoyed ice cold and several at a time.

Of course, every #SecretScandi will need a little help crafting a menu of perfect plates and delicious dishes. Luckily ScandiKitchen co-founder, Bronte Aurell, has written 6 books. Covering everything from Hygge & Fika to Summer flavours and Scandi favourites. With recipes including Flodebolles (Mallow fluff cakes), Potato Salad Four Ways or Lena’s (Bronte’s mum!) Danish Meatballs, you’re sure to find everything you need to serve up a Scandi feast!
