Bel & the Dragon is a collection of Country Inns and restaurants, settled in picturesque towns and villages in Southern England. The Inns are located in authentic British villages of Churt, Cookham,  Kingsclere, Odiham, Reading, and Windsor, offering a selection of different experiences.

Each site has its own unique charm, whether it’s the fireplace, pizza oven, tea rooms, or canal boat restaurant.

Bel & the Dragon boasts of exceptional menus, composed by Gordon Ramsay protégé, Ronnie Kimbugwe, putting a contemporary twist on the traditional Country Inn menu. Having been senior sous chef at Gordon Ramsay’s Claridges brigade, and participating in the The F Word, Kimbugwe felt he needed life-balance and decided to fulfil his lifelong dream of running a country side restaurant.

The menu is comprised of locally sourced products, and prides itself on a root to table concept, focusing on where their ingredients come from, how they have been grown and raised, and reducing the chain of distribution. The menu includes favourites such as Seared Cornish Scallops with Artichoke Puree and Crispy Pancetta, Roasted Suckling Pig, with Crispy Crackling and Spiced Apple Chutney or Roasted Confit Gressingham Duck Leg.

The menu is expertly paired with an award winning vintage wine collection. Bel & the Dragon have a longstanding relationship with Olivier Leflaive, renowned Burgundy wine producer, and have worked together in creating the ultimate house wine.

The Bel & the Dragon white and red Burgundies are served in magnum bottles, but guests are only charged for the volume consumed; this is thanks to revolutionary needle-through-the-cork device, The Coravin. This allows for guests to enjoy a glass of wine from any of their seasonal iconic wines, and not having to pop the cork.

Stepping inside the bedrooms, the city life is left behind, with beds that can only be compared to clouds. If guests are bringing the family, special rooms are available for children, with bunk beds, children’s books and toys, sure to keep the whole family busy. Bel & the Dragon welcome their guests with complimentary Sipsmith Slow gin cocktails that can be enjoyed in front of the open fireplace, relishing in the timeless and classic atmosphere.
