Follow Camino Trails for a mindful meander through Northern Spain with Bspoke Tours

Five Self-Guided Pilgrim Paths to uncover The Treasures Of Spain from £610 PP

Whilst the mental and physical health benefits of being ‘mindful’ are proven1, British holidaymakers may wonder – apart from a yoga retreat – how they can incorporate the current zeitgeist into summer getaways. Activity holiday specialist BSpoke Tours offer five self-guided walks along the Spanish Camino Trails inspired by centuries of pilgrimage through awe-inspiring natural landscapes that provide ample opportunity for reflection and relaxation – and even a little meditation.

‘El Camino de Santiago’, also known as the ‘Camino Trail’ or ‘Way of St James’, is a network of some of the world’s finest trails. The walks have evolved from routes followed as a religious pilgrimage to the relics of the Apostle James, interred in the ancient cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. Since the ninth century, hundreds of thousands have made the life-changing journey, whether for faith or simply to enjoy the freedom of some of Europe’s most beautiful mountain scenery.

Ben Roseveare, Activities Director at BSpoke Tours, says: “Mindfulness is not necessarily an invention of contemporary culture as we find calls to calm reflection throughout history, and there are few better places to find some inner peace than the glorious Camino Trails of northern Spain. The opportunities for reconnecting with nature and a more simple way of life abound along these five self-guided walking routes. Embarking on one of our Camino walking tours is good for the soul, as well as your legs!
