Marrenon launches Supersized Rosé for the Summer

Marrenon, one of the largest winemakers of the Luberon, a renowned wine growing region in the South of France, has this month launched its latest rosé, Lez’ Arts

Uniquely it’s in magnum format – just in time to help British rosé lovers enjoy what is expected to be a scorching summer.

Marrenon’s latest rosé will only be available in a magnum size, so twice the size of an ordinary wine bottle, as the winemaker taps into the trend for these larger format – making it more affordable and providing a supersized WOW factor to gatherings of family or friends.

The magnum is seen by the French as a more economical and sociable way of buying and sharing wine. Fanny Sucré, Area Export Manager, Marrenon adds: “Lez’ Arts is the South of France in a bottle. The French love the magnum format as it’s such a sociable and inclusive way to experience the wine.

The popularity of the magnum has exploded in the UK with retailers seeing a big surge in sales. Majestic saw a 500% increase in the last year alone and Marrenon is keen that this part of the French summer is exported to the UK along with sunshine: “British wine drinkers have become as serious about and knowledgeable of rosé as the French and we feel it makes sense that they will also adopt this most sociable and fun way of buying and serving the wine too.” concludes Fanny.

Lez’ Arts which has an eye-catching and colourful label design is a blend of grenache and syrah grown in the cooler vineyards of the Luberon mountain area. It has a pale pink colour with salmon hues with a very aromatic nose showing notes of red berries, citrus fruits and grapefruit aromas. Lez’ Arts is a balanced wine with a long and fresh finish which pairs beautifully with white meat, roasted fish and is the perfect companion for a summer BBQ.
