Shoryu X Gudetama Eggstra Special Menu

This Easter, Shoryu Ramen, who specialise in authentic Hakata cuisine, are welcoming one of Japan’s most popular characters, Gudetama, to London by launching an exclusive egg-themed pop up menu for two weeks only

The exciting collaboration with Gudetama the lazy egg, Hello Kitty’s friend, has been inspired by his laid-back attitude for life, something Shoryu always endorses for their guests.

Shoryu X Gudetama Set Menu

Available exclusively at Shoryu Go, a ramen bar on Air Street, from 26th March to 8th April, diners will be able to take time out to enjoy the eggstra specially decorated Easter menu: three courses plus drink for only £21.00.

The all-new set menu will offer a wide range of firm favourites, bursting with Shoryu flair, as well a touch of Gudetama decoration.

Start as you mean to go on with their incredibly moreish Shoryu Buns: choose from char siu barbecue pork belly or grilled halloumi, the perfect start to get the taste buds racing. Move through to mains and ponder over two mouth-watering Ramens: Shoryu Ganso Tonkotsu – their signature ramen with added fried shallot and Gudetama egg or White Natural – their unique tonyu soy milk, with a favour explosion of miso, konbu & shiitake broth, garnished with a Gudetama egg on the side.

Those with a sweet-tooth can opt for the famous Matcha Cheesecake or indulge in a Yuzu Cheesecake, both served with Gudetama decoration. The perfect way to round things off!

For those that want to take Gudetama home with them, there will be a range of limited edition merchandise for guests to pick-up at Shoryu Go or alternatively, purchase from Japan Centre Panton Street, Piccadilly and Japan Centre online store.

Favourites include the super-handy Gudetama shopper bag, A5 wiro-smart notebook, oyster card travel card holder and premium mugs featuring our favourite egg friend.

Social Competition

A special competition will also run on Shoryu’s Instagram, where guests will be invited to take a selfie with Gudetama and post on social with the hashtag #shoryugudetama, with the winner bagging a limited edition Gudetama egg suitcase and other goodies!

Shoryu Ramen

From the team behind Japan Centre, Shoryu Ramen launched in November 2012 and has been recommended in the Michelin Guide 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017. Shoryu Ramen specialises in Hakata tonkotsu ramen from the Hakata district of Fukuoka city on the southern island of Kyushu, Japan. Hakata tonkotsu ramen is a style of ramen made with a thick, rich, white pork soup and thin, straight ramen noodles. Our Hakata tonkotsu ramen recipe has been specially created by our Executive Chef Kanji Furukawa who was born and raised in Hakata, to provide the UK with highly crafted, genuine tonkotsu rarely found outside Japan. Shoryu’s owner Tak Tokumine is also a native of Fukuoka city and along with Kanji is dedicated to championing his hometown’s local speciality.
