Whatever the weather, whatever your taste, it is much more fun to stay ‘afloat’!

Movies on the River

Staged in association with Time Out, movie lovers can enjoy Hollywood classics and Disney gems while sailing on the Thames from 15th June to 15th July. Kicking off with the most iconic, watery horror movie ever, Jaws, the programme includes London-themed ‘Mary Poppins’ and ‘Notting Hill,’ watery classics such as ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘The Little Mermaid’ and beloved rom-coms old and new, including ‘When Harry Met Sally’ and ‘La La Land.’ The on-board bar will serve a selection of snacks and drinks to make this a night to remember.

ThamesJet

Not for the faint hearted, the adrenaline-pumping ThamesJet is a 50-minute thrill ride that soars along the River Thames, reaching an impressive speed of 40 knots. Passengers must hold on tight as the powerful jet performs a series of twists, turns and tricks, impressing onlookers on land. Cruising along the river, the jet cranks it up a notch once past Tower Bridge, leaving London’s iconic sights a mere blur in the distance.

Sightseeing Cruises

Visitors can turn up at any designated pier at any time of day, buy a ticket and get on a boat. Boasting magnificent views, open-air upper decks, river breezes and a café-bar serving summer treats for all ages, gin-and-tonic and ice cream, passengers can soak up the iconic London skyline from Westminster to Greenwich whilst getting a tan too.

Evening Cruises

The Sundowner is a two-hour cruise that sails down the River Thames whilst passengers enjoy sparkling wine on arrival and a selection of delicious canapes. Throughout the evening, a live musician performs the smooth sounds of jazz, so passengers can unwind and enjoy the spectacular view of London.

City Cruises’ premier dinner cruise

The London Showboat, features a three-hour round-trip down to the barrier, tides permitting. Guests are treated to a top-notch supper of seafood terrine, roast chicken and chocolate mousse as the boat winds its way past Canary Wharf to historic Greenwich. There’s also live entertainment from a professional singer who belts out showtune classics from musicals including Chicago and Grease.

Jazz Cruise

Every Friday night one of City Cruises’ dining boats takes a crowd of jazz enthusiasts out on the river to listen to the smooth jazz of a Chijazz quintet, which pumps out a fun set of tunes to get feet tapping and even dancing.

R.S. Hispaniola

On selected Thursdays the moored restaurant ship R.S.Hispaniola serves up an atmospheric dinner-dance with a smart set-menu, free-flowing prosecco and smooth jazz. On Sunday afternoons, the ship’s open front deck plays host to a jazz saxophonist so guests can soak up music along with rays, views and breezes, cocktails and cups of tea.
