AEG – Title Partner of Taste of London
The Festive Edition 2016

The Festive Edition of the capital’s greatest restaurant festival will take over East London’s Tobacco Dock for four fabulously festive days this month

From the 17th to 20th November AEG, as title partner, will help visitors to take taste to the next level with expert tips, cookery demonstrations and hands on cooking sessions using its state of the art steam and induction appliance technology.

Through demonstrations with leading chefs and hands on experience at the ‘AEG Take Taste Further’ feature, visitors will learn how to unlock flavour, enhance taste and preserve the texture of food for mouthwatering results that they can be proud of. This feature will provide free classes on a first-come first-served basis and will be led by renowned School of Wok chef Jeremy Pang and chef Steve Brown from The Cookery School at Daylesford. On Saturday the theme turns to baking and four “SteamBake™ For Taste” sessions will be led by baking expert Kathy Slack from Gluts and Gluttony, who will teach students how to make some show-stopping patisserie using AEG’s award-winning built-in ovens with SteamBake™.

Vanessa Holloway, Senior Consumer Marketing Manager at AEG explains, “We are keen for visitors to experience just how our appliances can transform cooking results. Our guest chefs will guide visitors through the key steps to creating a great tasting meal; the sourcing of ingredients, how best to store and chill them, the variety of heat techniques, and finally the all-important experience of how food is presented and enjoyed. The documentary that AEG initiated with experts from across the globe on these topics, Tasteology, will also be presented in the AEG Taste Theatre.

In the all-new AEG Taste Theatre, visitors can watch some of the UK’s most exciting chefs including Tom Kerridge, Angela Hartnett and Cyrus Todiwala cook up a storm live on stage, offering inspiration on how to cook your perfect dish at home. These chefs will use the latest AEG appliances, featuring state of the art induction and steam technology, guaranteeing them the performance they expect and deserve. This year there is a new format in the AEG Taste Theatre, with two guest chefs challenging each other to create exceptional dishes for the festive season and visitors voting for their favourite.

Vanessa Holloway comments, “At AEG it is our ambition to take taste further and we plan to show how to the thousands of food lovers that will come to Taste of London – The Festive Edition. We want visitors to experience and learn about the countless ways to achieve greater excellence in taste – from trends and new techniques to final flavours and tender textures”.
