This Valentine’s at The Dysart Petersham

Fine Food, Wine, Music and, of course, Chocolate

Kenneth Culhane, head chef at award-winning The Dysart Petersham, has created two romantic tasting menus (one for vegetarians) especially for this year’s Valentine’s weekend dinner on the Saturday evening. As well as the delicious food and attentive service, diners will be accompanied by soft music on the restaurant’s antique Bechstein grand piano from one of The Dysart’s regular musicians, further adding to the atmosphere. The Richmond venue is renowned for being romantic, with its open fire; candles, flowers and the discreetly floodlit garden on view through the leaded windows.

Barny Taylor, manager of The Dysart, says: “Our menus bring together lovely flavours and colours; champagne, black truffle, caviar, chestnuts, the red of raspberries and hibiscus, meringue and chocolate, enhanced by some unusual ingredients.

And as a finale, there is a tasting dessert of the world’s finest varieties of chocolate. After all, they say that one should never underestimate the power of chocolate!” he adds.

As always, Barny will be happy to suggest wine matches to accompany the food, a skill for which he has acquired quite a reputation.

The Valentine’s menu is £95 – full details are on the website thedysartpetersham.co.uk. Booking is advisable
