Christmas in Greenwich

The build-up to Christmas in Greenwich is always sparkly special with carols, kids activities, markets, Christmas shows and all kinds of festive funny stuff.

Christmas Gifts

Greenwich is one of the best places in London to get all your Christmas shopping done while having an excellently festive day out. There are three fantastic markets in Greenwich town centre alone and you can get just about anything your uncles and your cousins and your aunts might want.

The biggest boy on the block is Greenwich Market, recently refurbished and shiny and twinkling with decorations and sparkling lights. The Market is covered so you won’t get wet no matter how much weather washes down. It’s full of arts and crafts, beauty products, art, unusual gifts and a seasonal spread of street food from all around the world. The Market is also home to a fabulous range of independent and boutique shops.

Clocktower Market is a fabulous array of quirky stalls selling antique, vintage and craft items on Greenwich High Road, between the cinema and the old clock tower. You’ll definitely not leave empty handed!

And Greenwich Vintage Market, opposite St Alfege church is the place to find the most diverse range of antiques & collectables, vintage clothes and up-cycled furniture.

Christmas Crackers

There’s lots and lots to do in Greenwich this Christmas apart from shopping and eating. Find out if Red Riding Hood can escape from the Wolf at the splendid Greenwich Theatre panto or get swept away by your favourite Disney stories at The O2 with Disney on Ice. There are carols at all sorts of different venues including Eltham Palace, the Chapel at the Old Royal Naval College and St Alfege church. See Christmas Stars, make Christmas Decorations and scoff seasonal treats at Royal Museums Greenwich or just take a bracing walk in Greenwich Park.
