PAUL’s festive range of bûches are the ultimate must-have for the holiday season. Whether you’re after a stand-out centrepiece for the Christmas table, a show-stopping dessert or a gorgeous gift idea for a loved one, it simply wouldn’t be Christmas without a Bûche de Noël! Traditionally serving between 8–10 people, PAUL bûches also come in a selection of sizes, flavours and glazes to suit varied tastes, perfect for any festive gathering or a beautiful gift idea for friends and family.

Bûche Châlet (large £29.95; medium £16.95 serves 4; individual bûchette £3.95) – Brand new for 2015, this scene-setting centrepiece is as Christmassy as they come and almost looks too good to eat! Delicately designed to look like a snow-topped Alpine lodge, alternating layers of soft almond biscuit and gianduja (hazelnut and chocolate) mousse are housed in an icing sugar-dusted praline pastry roof to create a mouthful well worth waiting for.

Time-honoured Traditions

St. Nicolas (£1.60 each) – Père Noël or Father Christmas is traditionally acknowledged in France on his celebrated day of dedication (Feast Day) on 6th December. Bakeries and families across the country spend the day creating mannala, small bronzed brioche men, to represent the patron saint. Dipped in a rich chocolate glaze adorned with milk chocolate cereal balls for extra crunch, PAUL’s St. Nicolas makes the perfect snack or naughty treat.

Galette Frangipane (£16.95) – Homes across France (and throughout the UK) celebrate Epiphany in January with a feast of royal proportions, which culminates in slices being served from the Galette des Rois (King’s Tart). Traditionally eaten on the Twelfth Night (6th January), this meltingly moreish pie, serving 8-10 people is made of buttery, flaky puff pastry with a soft, nutty frangipane centre.
