Hero In A Hard Shell

The lobster shack experience comes to London

Down the north western coast of Canada and the US the lobster reigns supreme. So its great to know that a new restaurant is coming out of its shell called Lobster Kitchen. Giving royal treatment to the king of the crustaceans and emulating that coastal cuisine from the other side of the pond.

Lobster Kitchen set her nets down during November in an intimate site on Great Russell Street, Fitzrovia, an anchor’s throw from Tottenham Court Road and Oxford Street, the 40-cover restaurant will tell diners the story of the sea’s sexiest shellfish – from shore to supper.

Want a gastronomic tour of the marine’s sweetest meat? You got it. Lobster comes every which way – stuffed into five luxurious lobster rolls ranging from garlic and parsley butter to sweet chilli with a splash of spicy fish sauce; pimping up mac n’ cheese; melt-in-your-mouth lobster tails; swimming in a block rockin’ bisque and simmered whole in white wine.

Sides such as pickles, corn and deep fried clams, as well as the best shrimp roll in town, make Lobster Kitchen more than just a one-fish wonder.

Recreating the rustic look of an authentic seaside shack with reclaimed wood paneled walls, recycled buoys and lobster traps hanging from the ceiling, the interior brings New England to Central London.

AboutMyGeneration has been down sampling the lobster every which way, broiled, steamed, fried and in delicious rolls.
