New guide to Britain’s top accessible tourist attractions

Silver Travel Advisor, the travel review and advice site for the over 50s, has produced the latest in its series of mini guides, an eight page review of some of Britain’s top tourist attractions for older and less mobile visitors.

Included in the guide are twenty five accessible Great British days out, ranging from gardens to railways, country houses to museums, with full details of their suitability for older visitors and their carers.

The guide features attractions across Britain and is Silver Travel Advisor’s pick of the most suitable venues for older, less mobile or visually impaired visitors. It is available free of charge by post or via download.

Silver Travel Advisor’s MD Debbie Marshall said “Each site featured in the guide has been visited first hand by Silver Travel Advisor researchers, who understand the needs of the older visitor who may have limited mobility or accessibility requirements.

Our writers researched ramps, lifts, disabled toilets, wheelchair and scooter hire, parking, facilities for the visually impaired, rest seats, hearing loops and café facilities to come up with an informed and useful guide that will be invaluable for older people planning days out”.

Silver Travel Advisor’s Accessible Attractions Guide is available by post free of charge by contacting with a postal address.
